Children’s Programs Coming Soon! Come Join the Fun!

On August 28, 2018 a program will be held at the library from 3:30 – 4:30 PM. “Stories in the Stars” will bring you closer to the stars as you look through a real telescope, invent new constellations, and play games. A craft and live animal encounter will be included. This program is for K5 – 5th grade. Sign up will be required due to limited space.

The  “Snake and Turtle Show” will be coming to the library on Thursday, September 13 from 3:30 – 4:30 PM. Students in K5 – 5th grade will meet a real snake to find out what they are really like. Live turtles and snakes help students learn the true nature and value of these creatures.

“Creepy Critters” will be coming on October 30 from 3:30 – 4:30 PM. Creepy Critters focuses on those less cuddly and icky creatures whose importance is often taken for granted. This program features arachnids, insects and snakes to illustrate that such undesirable critters serve an extremely important purpose to the environment. Students will be allowed to get “hands-on” with several animals and all should walk away with a different view of these creepy critters. Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited.

The library program room is available upon request. Please contact the library to make your request.
